Everyone can join a PTA. PTA membership is open to anyone who cares about the education and health and welfare of children and youth and who supports the Mission and Purposes of PTA. Parents, grandparents, foster parents, mentors, teachers, administrators, community members ā all can join PTA.
Kentucky PTA encourages associations at the middle level and high school level to be PTSAs ā Parent ā Teacher ā Student Associations. Student participation and input is a valuable asset to the PTSA at these levels.
No. Kentucky PTA also has a Friends of PTA that you may join. After Kentucky and National portions of the dues are paid the balance of the dues goes into the Kentucky PTA scholarship fund for students, parents, and teachers.
No. PTA membership is very reasonable. While each local PTA sets its own membership fee, the range is usually between $3.00 ā $6.00 per member to belong to a local PTA or PTSA for an entire year.
YES! PTA is the oldest and largest volunteer child advocacy association in the United States with one purposeāto serve children, their families, and their school communities. There are over six million PTA members in 54 Congresses, in 26,000 local units in the nation, and over 105,847 PTA members in 390 local units in Kentucky.
